Oh no, not again!

Well it's happened again. The "Hotspot" crew has gone to PCA to produce a show, only to find a key piece of equipment is non-operational, and so is the staff that's left there to manage PCA's connection to the members.

Imagine, you answer one question, only to be asked another. Imagine, you fill out one form, only to have to fill out another. And no matter how many questions you answers, or how many forms you complete, there's always one more. Whether this was the encounter I had with the Petaluma P.D officer in November of 2002 or with Angelica Tercero, an employee of PCA on June 30th 2006, in both situations harassed is how I felt. Each encounter had a representative given to serve members of their perspective community, and each of these representatives stated "I'm only doing my job!" .. When does the job begin, and when does it end? The phrase "I'm only doing my job", or "I was only following orders appears to be used anytime there's a case for those who get over zealous in performing their official duties. I think history shows that many Nazis used these or similar phrases to justify their actions.

I wonder how this situation will be handled considering the PCA board chair who contacted me, and Angelica Tercero have worked together in the past. Perhaps we should have a sit down, and anyone that's ever dealt with Ms. Tercero should be able to express their opinion regarding her public relations demeanor

On June 30th, 2006, the crew arrived at PCA to start prepping for a historical retrospective on "Rex Hardware" and Petaluma. Imagine, I wasn't that surprised to find the VCR/Mini DV player with a note on it that read "Needs Service Do Not USE!". The RX8 for the Video Toaster was also non-functional, and supposedly has been that way for while. But this was the least of our problems.

I was told that the note on the MiniDV player was incorrect. The note on the VCR/miniDV was allegedly written by Angelica Tercero. How did she come to that conclusion, which was incorrect, as proven to me on Saturday July1, 2006 by an employee that has the technical knowledge to make such a call. If Angelica doesn't have the knowledge to correctly make such a technical determination, why didn't she contact someone that could. The same person she would contact later to talk about what had transpired on Friday June 30th, 2006 . At 7PM the system didn't switch to take our program live. My understainding is, the programmer was never told that our show would be live. I wonder how that could be the case, considering I sent PCA a fax stating our requirements for June 30th, 2006 show. Angelica acknowledged she had recieved the fax days before the show. Equipment not working, and then continual harassment while attempting to produce a show. Is it harassment when the access coordinator contiually walks into the controlroom or studio asking to have paperwork completed? Is it harassment when the access coordinator continually ask that I come out of the studio to be ask to show her who someone on my crew is while attempting to produce show? Is it harassment when this questioning starts happening a 7PM and continues until 7:45PM notstop?
