First Post!!!
Posted by: Captain Kirk Jul 01, 06 | 5:23 pm What good is a weblog without a "first post" post. What is that, you ask? It's a running joke among many web forums and bulletin boards where people take great pleasure in submitting comments early or late, and calling "First Post!" (even when it might not be first). This isn't a comment anyway, it's a weblog post. So I have to explain the title. There has been talk of calling it a "Hotblog" instead of a weblog. Why does Hot Spot have a weblog? Why not. It's all the rage. As they say, "It's hot!" Plus, this way, anyone who registers as an online member can post whatever they want directly to this section of the website. And (this is the part I really like) there's no need to wait for an Administrator or Director like me to approve a post or modify the website - it's automagical! Since some of the HOT CREW has registered, and some of the HOT CREW was part of the Salute to American Graffiti taping, and still some others who were important players in the project are neither registered with our website nor regulars in the HOT CREW fray, this weblog seems the perfect place to post a post card that was sent to us via post - it belongs to several people, but there was only one sent so this copy will have to do. Special thanks from me to TXB for putting the project together. If you participated in the video production of Salute to American Graffiti then the post card on the left is for you! If not, then everybody shhhhhhhhh! Don't look. Actually, go ahead and have a look at some of the cool swag bestowed upon HOT CREW for service above and beyond the call of insanity - perhaps you'll want to join! That way, you'll gain entry to the Member Access area for a behind the scenes peek into the chaos of crew, guests, producers, and people that make Hot Spot possible. Plus you'll get to post in this new Hotblog and be a Hot-Blogger. Weblogs are a hot item these days, I'm told. We've also added a Reviews section for those who wish to remain anonymous and have something to say about it. And we're still working on improving the booking feature to allow performers more control over the page for their show. It's all very beta, as these computer folk say. Until then, if you want your talent to be on or in the Hot Spot then consider signing up to the S.S. Chaos. Doesn't matter if that talent is performer, journalist, producer, camera jockey, programmer, or editor. Our motto is "Bring it!" Captain out! Post comment:
