Illusion of Training

Ms. Tercero:
As Education Director, would it not be your responsibility to prepare the cirriculum and syllabi for classes that are taught at PCA? As there are many forms and access restrictions that require members to be certified, for example; "Certified Studio I", "Certified Studio II", and "Certified Studio III". What training or instruction is provided in each of these certifications? In the basic Sony and Canon camera classes is there something provided in your instruction that couldn't be learned from the camera's operation manual? My understanding is there's no certification for the Portable Studio. Therefore if someone decided they were interested in using it, how would they get certified to use it? I talked with Helder, and my understanding is none of the staff was certified by him for operation of the portable studio. Does that mean PCA staff shouldn't be using the portable studio? I'll have to address that to the board of directors. I have many questions regarding the so-called education programs offered by PCA. But for now, would you please answer the ones asked?

Also where would I find the syllabi for what's taught to grant these certifications, and what are your qualifications for teaching them? Do you have professional training in lighting, audio engineering, electronics technology, or computer technology?
